Mini laboratory reactor systems are designed for conventional research and development tasks as well as training system for
universities. Moreover these systems can be used for inoculum production under GMP conditions. In such cases an industrially
approved SCADA System which is often lacking in low-cost Mini-Bioreactors is essential.
Therefore PCS developed a PC SCADA Interface in collaboration with zeta AG. The system is based on Siemens WinCC, and it allows to control a Mini-Bioreactor unit from an external PC.

Ease of Use with Extended Functionality
The WinCC-based SCADA for Mini-Bioreactors is an easy-to-use process visualization and control interface. It allows to monitor
and control the bioreactor from a remote PC via RS232 Interface/OPC Server. The WinCC-based SCADA brings the full functionality
of the built-in control software to the Windows Desktop. Furthermore the WinCC HMI offers many useful tools, as e.g. for alarm
handling, historical data management, archiving, user management etc.

- Simple interface navigation: Instrument interfaces for parameterization, calibration and configuration of time-dependent setpoint profiles are integrated into the bioreactor synoptic.
